Vinyl Exchange opened in Manchester in 1988 and is now the largest seller and buyer
of rare and second-hand CDs, records and DVDs in the north-west of England, with an
increasing global presence through our website.

We are located at 18 Oldham Street, at the heart of Manchester's rapidly expanding
Northern Quarter. This shop has two floors of CDs and records, and we have a team of
staff who know their specialist areas like the backs of their hands.

These include rock and indie, metal, punk, alternative, experimental, industrial,
psychedelic and soundtracks. We also have a large team who specialise in hip hop,
house, techno, electronica, rave, jungle, r'n'b, disco, soul, funk and reggae.
In addition we deal in jazz, blues, folk, country, world music… in short, pretty much
every style of music there is.

We pride ourselves on our fair approach to pricing, whether you're selling your
unwanted records, CDs or DVDs or buying from our huge collection of stock. We do not
believe in over-charging our loyal customers, and we hope that you'll agree as you
look through the site that much of our stock is a good deal cheaper than you'll find
elsewhere. And if you're selling items to us we want you to feel that you've got
a fair deal.

What you see on the website is at present just a selection of our stock, so do visit
